I was exhausted and sort of groggy. I felt like I'd flown to Europe on an overnight flight. Nevertheless, I went ahead with the bike ride. (Remember: "nevertheless = but + anyway.)
Then, for the rest of the day, I did what so many people in class love a lot--I wrote. Yes, I wrote and wrote and wrote and wrote. Yesterday, I edited and rewrote and edited and rewrote.
Why did I spend my weekend doing this?
Because I wanted to enter a writing contest. Recently, I received an "honorable mention" (top 100) out of 17,000 writers who submitted stories to a Writer's Digest contest. I was surprised and thrilled, of course.
This encouraged me to keep writing (even though it's so much work and so tiring). So I wrote another story and just submitted it a little while ago.
Anyway....back to the story that placed in the top 100. It was an inspirational story, one of facing fears, which I'd like to share with you. It's called, "Into the Darkness." I'll share it with you next blog. Right now, I'm just too tired.
Zzzzzzzzzz
See you tomorrow...

First at all, congratulations for your honorable mention in your writing contest. It is not easy to be in the top of 100 among thousands of good writers. It means a lot of work and dedication. Well, I will wait to read "Into the Darkness".
I didn't know that you ride a mountain bike. Definitely, riding is an awesome sport since you can see a nice scenary. Moreover, after a good practice, you can finish so tired but relaxed with new energy.
See you later.
Hi Lisa, I am very proud of you are my teacher, Congratulations for your honorable mention. Have you ever thought in writing a book? would be very cool.
Lisa, If I said my mother name is like the firts woman in the world is becuase her name is Eva!
I was wondering if you do some writing! You have such a bright personality that you cannot be just an ESL teacher. I wish you to be one of the best writers. Moreover, if you will get you book, it would be my first time I read something without forcing myself. I just do not like to read in English even though I have to.
Also, I glad you like to ride bicycle. It very healthy so you make me think to do the same. I have not ridden bike about five years since I fell from it. It was bad experience and I still have some scars that remand me about that bad occasion.Nevertheless, I have to try again. I should be OK.
Friday, Fanny and Iryna--Thank you so much for you comments. Your words are both kind and positive, and I appreciate all of them!
Perhaps I will post my story for you to read. I think you'd enjoy it. Also, it might be a good learning experience if I can work in some sort of grammar lesson, etc.
As for biking...it's wonderful! I need to get a new bike, though, because the one I have isn't too good at handling the hills.
Iryna--Sorry to hear that you fell off one and that it was traumatic. Hope you decide to give it another chance.
Fanny--Now I get it...Eve!
Thanks, again. See you tonight!
PS--Yes, I am writing a book. Perhaps you guys will read it? I hope so!
