Obama really won!!!

I am so excited about the news. Obama won!!  He's now going to be our 44th president.

It's incredible, and the timing is excellent. He's just what we need right now.

I have so much more to say, but....it's almost 1 a.m. I have a class tomorrow morning at 8:55 and need to get some sleep.

Anyway, all I want to say is YAY!!!  YES, WE CAN!

I can not say anything bad about our new president yet. Yesterday, while I and my husband were watching TV, he was hugging and kissing his family members. He was so adorable that I became to hope everything going to be OK in the USA. I am not that kind of person who believes in presidents as those who can change people's lives. Back to my country I have not seen any good one. I wish with him everyone's dreams will come true.

We made history!

Tuesday 4 would be a day to remember forever because Obama won. Although the forecasts were saying Obama was ahead, nobody assured victory until the polls in California were closed and the Democrat Party got more than 270 Electoral Colleges. That night almost at 11p.m, when I heard that Barak Obama was elected President, my anxiety finished. Moreover, I started to be very emotional during our President’s speech. Not only in America but also around the world, most of the people were joyful with the news. It is now time for America to shine.

Hi, Darshan, Iryna and Frida. Thanks for your comments!

I understand what you're saying, Iryna. Like you, I have been disappointed so many times. So have many other people here and around the world. Politicians lie so much that it's hard to believe anything they say. They make promises, and then they don't keep them.

For some reason, though, I think this time might be a little different. He'll make mistakes and won't be perfect, but he may make a difference. At this point, any positive changes will be welcome. Also, things are so bad that I just can't imagine them getting any worse.

As Darshan said, LET'S HOPE!!

As for Frida's comment...yes, it really is a moment of joy for so many people here and around the world. Let's hope this country shines once again!!!
